The combination of it being a very important part of the cultural memory of the country and the immersive potential made it the best artifact to use. There are certain artifacts that allow more immersive experiences than others. You can try on the costume, and play drums and guitars while wearing it. I think the fact that it is a costume as well is helpful because then visitors can interact with it in ways that might not possible with other artifacts. “We needed to decide what kind of information we wanted to provide visitors,” says Cesar of the project’s build-out. And then the real difficulty came in creating the 3D model and additional elements of the exhibit.
